Policy / effective 27 August 2026

Privacy stays on your machine.

The extension stores traces in your browser. It has no account or upload service.

Short version: we do not receive your traces. The extension sends no interaction data, screenshots, or analytics.

What the extension records

Recording begins only after you select Start. It saves keyboard actions, focus targets, page details, and nearby control snapshots.

Screenshots are optional. When enabled, capture uses the visible tested tab.

Masking

Printable keys are recorded as “Character,” not their value. Password, payment, one-time-code, and author-marked private fields exclude their values. Accessible names can still contain page text.

Review a trace before sharing it.

Storage and deletion

The current trace stays in browser extension storage. Export creates one HTML trace file at a location you choose.

“Clear local trace” removes extension storage. Files already exported remain under your control.

Network and third parties

The extension has no telemetry, account, cloud API, advertising, or third-party runtime. The public site uses no analytics or tracking.

Browser stores or source hosts may apply their own policies when you download the extension.

Permissions

activeTab and scripting run the recorder in the tab you choose. storage keeps the current trace locally.

downloads saves the trace file. Screenshot capture is off until you enable it for that recording.
